Earlier this year, Lamborghini unveiled its Urus SUV concept, and according to the Italian automaker’s CEO, the Urus won’t be making its production appearance until 2017… at the earliest.
That’s if the SUV even gets the green light. Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann said in a recent interview that the Urus isn’t an immediate priority for the exotic automaker and that it “won’t happen until 2017 at the earliest, if the board designs to sign it off.”
This corroborates past reports that the SUV has yet to be given the green light, with speculation that Volkswagen group companies, Lamborghini included, are being told to reduce spending as the economy worsens in Europe.
