For the Doubting Thomas still in need of proof, here it is. Chevrolet has just released a stunning video of the 2014 Camaro Z28 lapping the Nurburgring in an astonishing time of 7:37.47.
True, that’s hardly a record, but its faster than the latest generation Porsche 911 Carrera S. And the Z28 was running with a severe handicap… it did it in the rain (partially at least).

Not impressed that a 500 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque 7.0L V8 can beat up on a 400 hp six-cylinder with the engine disadvantageously placed behind the rear axle? OK, then how about a list of other sports cars it’s faster than: Lamborghini Murcielago, Ferrari F430 Scuderia, 458 Italia, GT3, Lexus LFA.
