The 2014 Mazda6 is being recalled for a potential fire hazard.
According to Mazda, 19,000 sedans equipped with the 2.5-liter SkyActiv engine have been found to be vulnerable to overfilling, which will allow excess gasoline to pass into the charcoal canister. As a result, fuel can exceed the capacity of the canister and drip out of the vapor vent line.

Recalled vehicles will be fitted with an adapter to the shut-off valve in the fuel tank, while the charcoal canister will be inspected and replaced if it has already been partially filled with fuel.
