British automaker Morgan is refuting rumors that the company is struggling.
According to a recent report from Autocar, sources close to the company have been alluding that new car sales have stalled since former chief Charles Morgan departed the company last October. Those sources said the used car and maintenance parts of Morgan’s business were performing well, but the company was having a “very difficult year” in terms of new car sales and waiting lists have dwindled down to almost nothing.

But current Morgan head Steve Morris denied those claims, telling Autocar that the company was “on target to achieve budgeted numbers for 2014,” although he declined to reveal exact sales figures.
“The departure of Charles Morgan has not had any impact on vehicle sales notwithstanding the negative comments that Charles has made in various media platforms from time to time,” Morris said.
