The first fuel economy figures for the 2015 Jeep Renegade have been announced.
The compact crossover when equipped with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, a nine-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive will return 22 MPG in the city and 31 MPG on the highway, good for a 25-MPG combined rating. Add four-wheel drive to the mix and those numbers drop to 21 MPG in the city, 29 on the highway for a combined 24 MPG.
Figures for the 1.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 160 hp have not yet been announced or how all-wheel drive will impact fuel efficiency.

Regardless, those figures give a good starting point on what to expect with the Renegade when it comes to fuel economy. Recently, the company announced that the Renegade will start from $18,990 including destination with the 1.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. Adding all-wheel drive will run $2,000 on the Sport, Latitude and Limited models while it’ll be standard on the Trailhawk trim. The 2015 Jeep Renegade will arrive dealerships later this year.
