The next-generation Audi sports car has leaked ahead of its official debut.

Scheduled to be unveiled early next week at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, a single photo of the 2016 Audi R8 has made an early appearance on the Internet and by all accounts, looks official. The front end matches up with the teaser image that the German automaker has released while the rest of the bodylines coincide with what we’ve seen so far in spy photos.
The design of the next-generation R8 is evolutionary rather than revolutionary as the styling still closely resembles the current R8. The front end does have a bolder grille and sleeker headlights, but the rear end will remain a mystery until it Audi officially debuts or more leaked photos appear.
2015 Geneva Motor Show Preview
In recent weeks, more information on the 2016 Audi R8 has been reported with the model initially launching with a V10 engine in two different trims: 540 hp and 610 hp. Sharing a platform with the Lamborghini Huracan, Audi engineers are excited about the possibilities for the new R8 saying that its versatility in production can lead to numerous variants including the possibilities of a V6, diesel or even turbocharged model.
