Returning for the 2016 model year is the GT3 RS – the most track-ready version of the 911 imaginable.

Bringing back the 4.0-liter flat-six it makes 493 hp and 354 lb-ft of torque enabling a 0-62 mph time of just 3.3 seconds and a tops peed of 198 mph.

That speedy launch is achieved thanks to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, not a manual.

Official details haven’t been released but the car will reportedly use an even wider body than the standard GT3 with massive 20-inch front ad 21-inch rear wheels.

Additional weight savings have been achieved thanks to a magnesium roof, carbon trunklid and carbon engine cover.

Reportedly the car can run the Nurburgring in just 7:20, a full 20 seconds faster than its new Cayman GT4 model.
