2016 Mercedes C-Class Coupe Spied in the Wild

The all-new Mercedes-Benz C-Class coupe was just spotted undergoing testing in Europe and the two-door was hardly wearing any camouflage.

Glancing at the spy photos this car appears both lower and wider than its sedan counterpart, which implies that it’s sportier. Also giving it a youthful appearance are side-view mirrors that are attached to the doors, not the base of the A-pillars as is the case with its four-door doppelganger.

The new C-Class Coupe is built on the company’s MRA architecture, which, not surprisingly, is shared with sedan and wagon versions of the car. Engines are expected to be the same as well, with a range that includes a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 in the AMG version. This powerplant is expected to kick out 476 horses and 510 lb-ft of twist. Expect a seven-speed automatic transmission to play a prominent role in this car’s drivetrain.

The all-new Mercedes-Benz C-Class coupe is expected to debut later this year as a 2016 model.
