BMW will introduce its newest sports car at the 2016 Detroit Auto Show.
Although the company has already unveiled the new M2 online, the sporty coupe will come with a 3.0-liter turbocharged six-cylinder engine with 370 horsepower and 343 pound-feet of torque mated to a seven-speed M Double Clutch Transmission (M DCT). According to the German automaker, the M2 will make the 0-62 mph sprint in 4.5 seconds with a manual transmission or 4.3 seconds with the M DCT.

Sporting aggressive styling from bumper to bumper, the BMW M2 looks to be a worthy successor to the 1 Series M Coupe that had 340 hp and 332 lb-ft of torque. BMW also revealed that the new M2 turned in a Nurburgring lap time of of 7:58, making it seven seconds faster than the last-generation M3 coupe.
BMW will also show off the new X4 M40i that has also been revealed with 355 hp and 343 lb-ft of torque from a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six engine.
BMW’s press conference will start on January 11 at 7:40 AM Pacific / 10:40 AM Eastern.
