subaru-xv-concept-teaser

The Subaru XV concept will make its debut at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show in March.

The new concept will be the third model based on the next-generation Impreza, following up on the standard hatchback we saw at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show and the Impreza sedan which debuted at the 2015 L.A. Auto Show.

Although Subaru doesn’t use the Impreza nameplate on the XV, the model is a version of the five-door hatchback with a higher ride height, larger wheels, modified bumpers and body cladding to give it an off-road style.

Subaru refrained from releasing very many details on the XV concept, save for the teaser image above. It follows a similar formula as the Impreza concepts that have debuted before it, as well as sporting an aluminum skid plate, different front grille and larger wheels. Expect the production model to follow within two years of the concept’s debut.
