Ken Block has improved his custom 1965 Ford Mustang dramatically.
The custom ‘Stang was first unveiled at the 2014 SEMA Show packing a 6.7-liter V8 engine with 845 horsepower, 720 pound-feet of torque, and all-wheel drive. But that wasn’t enough for the “Hoonicorn” that starred in Gymkhana 7, as Block has updated it with a twin-turbo setup. Now called Hoonicorn V2, the Mustang features a fully custom twin-turbo setup that’s feeding 21 pounds of boost into the 6.7-liter engine to generate 1,400 hp.

In addition to updating the powertrain, Block and his team also updated the livery on the car for Block’s new video project. Watch a short video of the Hoonicorn V2 below.
“We got approval for a new video concept using the Hoonicorn, but I needed more power for what I needed it to do,” said Block. “So, I developed the concept for the general idea of what I wanted — two turbos sticking out the hood — and handed that over to my team. They came back with a functional way to make that happen and added methanol to get the setup to produce the power that I wanted. We ended up with 1,400 horsepower! So they may have over-delivered a bit — and I’m happy about that!”
