Tesla Model S P100D

It seems that Tesla always has a little more juice it can squeeze from its Tesla Model S P100D.

A video showing the new Ludicrous Plus mode has been uploaded online, allowing the car to make the jump to 60 mph in 2.465 seconds, about half a second quicker than the standard Ludicrous mode.

To activate the special mode, you need a P100D and 2.52.22 or newer firmware. There is a special trick to accessing the Plus mode; you must hold down the Ludicrous mode button for five seconds, at which point a warp mode graphic will be shown and you will be asked if you want to access Ludicrous Plus. During the process, Tesla also warns that Ludicrous Plus mode will “cause accelerated wear on the motor, gearbox and battery.”

There is also a few changes on the digital display in front of the driver, adding things like a magenta arc on the battery temperature, while maximum battery power, motor power and longitudinal acceleration are all shown.
