2020 gmc acadia spy photos

GMC is working on a facelift for its mid-size Acadia SUV.

The second-generation Acadia was introduced in 2016, and now spy photographers give us our first look at its mid-cycle refresh. The camouflage hints at where the changes will take place, and it appears the Acadia will receive an updated front end, including headlights and grille. In the rear the changes won’t be as significant, with updated tail lights and a revised rear bumper. All in all, it’s a pretty standard facelift.

Power should continue to come from the current engine offerings, which include a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and a 3.6-liter V6. Do expect the aging six-speed automatic transmission to be replaced by the nine-speed automatic that is being co-developed with Ford.

Based on the timing of the spy photos, the 2020 GMC Acadia should make its debut in early 2019.
