Looks like our reports of the Mercedes ML63’s death were premature, even if they were easily rationalized. The folks at Motor Trend have confirmed with M-B that the ML63 will continue on for 2011, but it still may not be long for this world.
With a new ML due out for the 2012 model year, it may yet be the last mile for the AMG SUV, as the usual lag time between the launch of a standard model and an AMG variant will likely leave performance SUV fans stranded for at least a year. Not to mention the next AMG ML will almost certain come with the new 5.5L twin-turbo V8 rather than the beloved 6.2L currently being used.
