AMG, Mercedes-Benz‘s high-performance sub-brand, celebrates its 45th birthday this year. The commemorate the anniversary, AMG has been working diligently on unique campaigns about the brand.
Now the German automaker has released a very detailed video about its history, starting from 1967 all the way to the present. Throughout those years, AMG has been responsible for all of Mercedes-Benz’s motorsport activities as well as the development of its high-end models. Most recently, the SLS has become the new flagship for the automaker.
The founder of AMG, Hans Werner Aufrecht once said, “You can’t really improve a Mercedes…but you can make it different.” That might have been true at one point but there’s no denying the heavy margin in favor of AMG vehicles today.
