Making its debut today at the 2012 SEMA Show is a custom Acura ILX ‘Street Build’ that shows what the ILX is capable of with some aftermarket goods.

Sharing booth space with a track-ready ILX, the Built by Evasive Motorsports ILX gets a boost in power for its 2.4-liter, four-cylinder thanks to a supercharger kit from CT Engineering. Combined with a CT Engineering intake, Hondata FlashPro, and a GReddy SP Elite prototype exhaust, the ILX is good for 250 whp. The presence of the ILX also marks the Honda luxury brand’s return to the SEMA Show after a six-year hiatus.

On the outside, the ILX is accented by an Acura Genuine Accessories aero kit that has been matched up to a set of 19-inch Volk Racing G25 wheels. To give it a lowered stance and better handling, Evasive Motorsports bolted on a set of TEIN Street Advance coilovers.

“With sporty dynamics, premium standard features and a starting price of $25,900, the ILX is the ideal gateway vehicle to the luxury market for younger buyers.” said Mike Accavitti, Vice President of National Marketing Operations for American Honda Motor Co., Inc. “The ILX project cars displayed at SEMA exemplifies how potent the platform is for enthusiasts, adding to the momentum the new model is gaining.”
