2014 Nissan Pathfinder Hybrid Gets 26 MPG Combined

Nissan is starting a campaign to offer a lineup of hybrid vehicles, and the brand started today by unveiling the 2014 Pathfinder Hybrid at the 2013 New York Auto Show.

Driving the Pathfinder is a 15 kW engine combined with a supercharged inline four cylinder that combine to put out 250 net hp and 243 lb-ft of torque, mated to a CVT. Nissan estimates that the Pathfinder Hybrid will have a fuel economy rating of 25/27/26 city/highway/combined, which is a 24 percent increase in fuel efficiency.

While pricing wasn’t given away, Nissan did hint that the Hybrid variant of the Pathfinder will only cost $3,000 more than the Pathfinder V6 models, which starts at $29,495.

Additionally, the Pathfinder’s battery pack is located in the rear under the floor, and does not alter the vehicles storage space. Towing is pegged at 3,500 lbs when properly equipped, while the Pathfinder also offers seating for seven people.
