You’d think it would be hard to miss the new 2014 SRT Viper Time Attack at the New York Auto Show. After all, it’s a bright orange American supercar. Perhaps it was the lack of a press conference or press release, or maybe it was the fact that it sat high on a pedestal and was out of reach; either way, it didn’t garner the attention it probably should have.
More than just a pretty shade of orange, the Viper TA puts a focus on light-weight and neutral handling, featuring an updated suspension and carbon fiber parts which helped make it set the fastest track time of a production vehicle at Laguna Seca.

Other drool-worthy stats are just Viper standards, like the 8.4L V10 engine, which puts out 640 horsepower and 600 lb.-ft. of torque. The Viper TA also uses impressive Brembo brakes, which have a higher heat tolerance that should be able to keep up with the Viper TAs on-track performance.
Only 33 SRT Viper TAs will be made, so take a closer look at the images below of the new snake.
