The BMW Concept X4 has made its North American debut at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show.
Giving a preview of the future for the BMW X family, the Concept X4 shows how the German automaker can seamlessly blend the genes of a BMW coupe with its X models. The new Sports Activity Coupe concept looks to build on the success of the X6, albeit in smaller form since it is based on the X3 platform.

Measuring in at 183-inches long, 75.4 inches wide and 63.9 inches tall, the Concept X4 features a long sloping hood, short overhangs and a set-back passenger cell. Located on all four corners are 21-inch wheels while traditional BMW styling can be seen throughout the front end including the signature kidney grilles and twin-circular headlights.
Fitting for its LA debut, the German automaker showed off the Concept X4 in Long Beach Blue with bi-color wheels featuring high-gloss polished spokes with dark-colored flame surfaces behind.
The BMW X4 production model will launch early next year, so expect more information on available powertrain and drivetrain options then.
