Originally making its world premiere at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, the Infiniti Q30 concept has made its North American debut at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show.
A preview of the future of Infiniti, the Q30 compact is looking to appeal to younger buyers much like Mercedes has done with the new CLA-Class models. The Japanese automaker reaffirmed that the Q30 isn’t a coupe, nor a hatchback or a crossover. What it does have is the design and sportiness of a coupe, the roominess of a hatch and the higher stance of a crossover.

One thing is for sure, the Infiniti Q30 looked right at home in Los Angeles, where the CLA has already been a huge hit on the roadways. As a design precursor for Infiniti’s future compact premium model, the Q30 will ultimately make it into production in the future, though it’s unknown how much it’ll change from concept form.
