The entry-level Lexus CT might be getting new performance-oriented variants as the Japanese automaker wants to target performance enthusiasts.
Currently available strictly in hybrid form right now, Lexus believes that its CT model could not only attract a different demographic, but would be successful in becoming a luxury sports car. The second-generation CT is expected in 2016 and with it could be non-hybrid variants built to target the BMW 1 and 2 Series, and the Mercedes CLA.
