The next-generation BMW 7 Series has been spied cold weather testing in Sweden.
The new sedan will also gain a long-wheelbase variant, though AutoGuide‘s spy photographers caught the standard model on camera. It’s expected that the next-generation flagship sedan from the German automaker will go on a strict diet thanks to lightweight materials like carbon fiber being used for its body.

Also in the works is a plug-in hybrid variant, as BMW looks to enhance the fuel economy of its lineup. The 2016 BMW 7 Series is expected to make its official debut at next year’s Frankfurt Motor Show.
