Tata Motors’ managing director Karl Slym is dead after falling from a Bangkok hotel.
According to the Indian automaker, Slym had attended a board meeting of Tata’s Thailand unit in Bangkok and fell from a high floor of a hotel, causing his death. No details were given surrounding the fall and a post-mortem report is expected on Monday.
Before joining Tata Motors, Slym was executive vice president of SGMW Motors in China, a General Motors joint venture. He was also previously the head of General Motors in India.
