BMW has officially revealed its first front-wheel-drive offering at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, the all-new 2 Series Active Tourer.
Sharing its platform with the new MINI Cooper, the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer resembles the Mercedes B-Class and will come powered with either a 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine (136 hp), a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine (231 hp) or a diesel offering with 150 hp and 243 lb-ft of torque.

At its launch, the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer will offer seating for up to five, but that figure will grow to seven come 2015. It will likely head to North America as a 2016 model year, though BMW hasn’t confirmed U.S. launch plans as of yet.
