Trusting automated systems to take care of driving tasks is becoming the norm these days, and sometimes these systems can work too well.
The 2015 Ford Edge is looking to make things simpler for drivers by not only parking itself, but also getting itself out of a tight spot.
Ford already offers an automated parallel parking system that will pull your car into a spot for you. Problem is, people have been having trouble pulling back out because the car can wedge itself into such a tight space. That is where the new technology comes in.

The new 2015 Ford Edge, and likely subsequent Ford products, will be able to park and unpark in both parallel situations and in perpendicular spots like at a shopping mall. An array of sensors that measure distances to other objects and the curb will make this possible.
The 2015 Ford Edge is expected in showrooms in late 2014 or early 2015.
