The U.S. will be getting its own exclusive, special edition Ferrari model.
As part of current Ferrari chairman Luca Cordero di Montezemolo’s last public act before he steps down from his position, the Italian automaker will unveil a limited edition model created exclusively for the U.S. market. According to Montezemolo, only 10 units of the special exotic will be built and is priced at around $3.2 million. Without revealing what vehicle it is, Montezemolo said the model is already sold out.

Details that have been revealed show that the model will be painted in blue with white stripes, the same colors used by the Ferrari North American Racing Team from the 1960s to the 1980s. It will make its debut during a gala dinner on October 12 in Los Angeles, while the company celebrates 60 years of operations in the U.S. Montezemolo will step down as Ferrari chairman the following day, to be replaced by Sergio Marchionne.
It is most likely that the special edition model will be based on the F12 Berlinetta which sports a 740-hp V12 engine.
