Dave and Peter finished Targa Newfoundland last week safely and with quite a bit to be proud of.
They took third place in the Modern division and sixth place overall. To cap it off, they also won the manufacturer’s championship for Scion.But getting to that point was a challenge to say the least. The car that Dave and Peter drove only broke once and as you may remember, the fix kept them up all night.
The fact that it held up so well is remarkable because they didn’t start out with a new FR-S off the assembly line. Instead, their car was a carry-over from last year’s Scion Tuner Challenge, so it’s safe to say it’s previous caretakers put it through heavy use.
That didn’t stop Dave and Peter – especially Peter – from driving like absolute lunatics through unnervingly tight sections of Newfoundland road.
Needless to say, we’re glad to see our friends come home in one piece.
