Mercedes has released a photo of its new off-road monster.
Called the G500 4×4², this vehicle will serve as a flagship for the Mercedes SUV range and shares many of its components with the G63 AMG 6×6. Large fender flares, massive 22-inch wheels with 325/55 off-road tires, portal axles, revised front and rear bumpers and carbon fiber attachments are all found on the new G500.

Rather than use the twin-turbo V8 from the G63 AMG, power will come from a naturally aspirated V8 that makes 422 hp, an increase of 35 hp compared to the standard G500.
The new G500 4×4² will be revealed at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show. Watch for more details to drop before the show gets underway.
