Bentley’s latest concept car could see the business end of a production line in only a couple of years.
The company caught attention from media and show-goers alike this month with its EXP 10 Speed6 concept, a vehicle that company executives described from the get-go as a preview of the company’s future. Now Car magazine reports that the concept will transform into a production sports coupe that will sit below the Continental by 2018.
That means prototype mules should start showing up sometime in the next year or so before the real car enters production in 2017 in time for the 2018 model year.

Despite Car’s claims, Bentley was mum on engineering details about the concept during its March debut in Switzerland. Then again, there are plenty of aesthetic details to drool over. For example, the company used 3D printing to add intricate details to the grille, not to mention the mixture of copper, steel and leather that upholsters the interior.
Bentley didn’t officially confirm the timeline and the Car article didn’t quote any sources in its report.
