Hyundai appears to have a thing for mid-engine Velosters.
For the second time in as many years, the Korean automaker has debuted a mid-engine Veloster concept. This time around its the RM15 concept at the 2015 Seoul Motor Show.
The Veloster features a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder powerplant with 295 hp and 282 lb-ft of torque, mounted behind the two-seater cabin and ahead of the rear axle. The power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission and is capable of going 0-62 mph in 4.7 seconds.

Sporting a livery that is reminiscent of the Hyundai i20 WRC rally car, the RM15 concept was built to demonstrate Hyundai’s passion for performance and know-how with advanced vehicle materials and technologies. Boasting an aluminum spaceframe and plenty of carbon fiber goods, the RM15 concept weighs about 430 lbs less than a standard production Veloster, tipping the scales at just under 2,800 lbs. Inside there’s a WRC-inspired roll cage while it rolls on 19-inch wheels paired to 235/35 rubber in the front and 265/35 in the rear.
