Jaguar is slowly releasing bits and pieces of its upcoming crossover.
Cementing its promise that the F-Pace is coming, Jaguar has released a new video showing how the new crossover went from concept to reality, starting with Jaguar designer Ian Callum sketching the F-Pace’s profile. The British automaker then details the C-X17 crossover that debuted at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, highlighting the chassis, drivetrain, exterior details, headlights and tail lights.
In recent months, spy photographers have caught numerous F-Pace prototypes testing, revealing a luxury crossover that carries Jaguar’s genes bumper to bumper.

The upcoming F-Pace will be built on the automaker’s aluminum architecture, helping keep it as light as possible. Engine options haven’t been revealed yet, but it’s likely that the F-Pace will come standard with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, while a 3.0-liter supercharged V6 will also be available as an option. Also expected is an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
The Jaguar F-Pace is scheduled to debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show in September, so check back with AutoGuide.com then for more details, as we’ll be covering the event live.
