Orders for the 2016 Toyota Mirai can be placed in California starting next week.
Drivers in the state interested in the 2016 Toyota Mirai will be able to request a vehicle online starting July 20, with eligible customers choosing from one of the eight authorized dealerships for Mirai delivery. After placing a request online, potential Mirai drivers will be contacted by a Toyota representative to make sure owning the Japanese automaker’s hydrogen fuel cell vehicle fits into their lifestyle and is a viable option.

The 2016 Toyota Mirai will come with three years’ worth of complimentary fuel, three years of 24/7 customer call support, an eight-year, 100,000-mile warranty on key fuel cell vehicle components and much more. As a fuel cell electric vehicle, the 2016 Toyota Mirai uses no gasoline and emits nothing but water vapor, and was recently announced to get an EPA-estimated 312-mile range and a 67 mpg equivalent rating.
Pricing on the 2016 Toyota Mirai will start from $58,325 including destination, but before any incentives and/or rebates. Leases for the Toyota Mirai will also be available for $499 a month for 36 months. The electric motor on the hydrogen fuel cell vehicle provides 153 hp and 247 lb-ft of torque and U.S. deliveries are expected to begin in October. Expect U.S. delivery to be limited to about 3,000 units through 2017.
