First unveiled at the 2005 Geneva Motor Show, this one-off Lamborghini concept is heading to auction.
The 2006 Lamborghini Concept S will be auctioned off by RM Sotheby’s on November 18, 2015 in New York. Designed by Lamborghini’s then head of design, Luc Donckerwolke, the Lamborghini Concept S at Geneva was a non-operable design study. A fully functional one debuted at the Concorso Italiano in 2006.
Although the Italian automaker considered producing the Concept S with a limited production run of 100 units, it was axed due to its high cost and time-consuming production process. As a result, only one exists in the world and that’s the one being auctioned off.

Making the Concept S so unique is its pair of windshields with a split cabin divided by a piece of sheet metal. It’s powered by the same engine in the Gallardo, a 5.0-liter V10 with 520 hp and all-wheel drive. The Lamborghini Concept S is fully operable and street legal and only has about 112 miles on the odometer. RM Auctions expects the one-off Lamborghini Gallardo to fetch up to $3 million later this year in New York.
