Britax is recalling 213,000 child seats over an issue with the should harness.

The problem, which affects some Boulevard ClickTight, Advocate ClickTight and Marathon ClickTight child seats, is a red harness adjuster button that may stick in the released position, allowing the shoulder harness to loosen.

Britax plans to notify registered owners and send them a remedy kit which includes a lubricant that is supposed to be applied to the harness adjuster button. Britax says the recall will begin on August 17, 2015.

Child seat safety has been in the spotlight lately after the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) fined Graco Children’s Products Inc. for $10 million after the company failed to recall over 4 million child seats in a timely fashion. Eventually, 6.1 million seats were recalled by Graco over a buckles that could become sticky and difficult to open.
