Midwesterners have a hard time fathoming pleasant temperatures and sunshine in the middle of November, but Tinseltown is warmer than a basket of fresh dryer lint right now.

Melting the icy hearts of car enthusiasts around the world, the annual Los Angeles Auto Show is a ray of sunshine in the middle of Autumn. This SoCal city plays host to a world-class motoring event each year and here are the five most important reveals from the show.

5. 2016 Lamborghini Huracán LP 580-2
And we start with a red-hot Lamborghini, the Huracán LP 580-2. This raging bull promises to deliver an even more intense experience than other versions of this high-dollar Italian exotic. In lieu of all-wheel drive, torque is routed exclusively to its rear tires. A 580-hp V10 is guaranteed to provide a bucket of chuckles.
4. 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio
And in the No. 4 position we find another exotic Italian, though with an estimated price tag of around 70 grand this one is A LOT more attainable. The Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio is a gorgeous sedan with enough power and style to compete with – and possibly beat – rivals like the BMW M3 or Cadillac ATS-V. Under the hood it features a 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V6 that’s largely borrowed from Ferrari. It cranks out 505 horses and 443 lb-ft of torque.
3. 2017 Lincoln MKZ
Coming in third place is a bolt out of the blue, a fast ball from left field. Lincoln took us all by surprise, showing off its 2017 MKZ sedan. This premium four-door gains a new, Continental-inspired front end but that fresh face conceals some much bigger mechanical changes. The 2017 model features a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 that puts out 400 horses and the same amount of torque. This sounds like a hot-rod Lincoln to us, which makes it one of the top five cars of the 2015 L.A. Auto Show.
2. 2016 Honda Civic Coupe
The No. 2 car on this Top Five list is the 2016 Honda Civic coupe! With new style, a premium interior and more generous dimensions it may be the best Civic ever. Just like the sedan model, under its hood two different engines are offered. A 2.0-liter VTEC four-cylinder serves base duty, putting out 158 horsepower. But for the first time ever Honda is offering a turbocharged engine in a mainline model. This one-five-tee delivers an impressive 174 ponies and a mountain of torque, which is decidedly un-Honda like.
1. Fiat 124 Spider
And our first-place finisher, the most exciting machine revealed here in L.A. also happens to be the most reliable Fiat ever … probably. The brand’s revived 124 Spider is HOT. Essentially a restyled, rebranded Mazda Miata, this rear-wheel-drive sports car should be a more fun than a trip to Tiajuana. Under its hood this car is motivated by a 1.4-liter turbocharged MultiAir engine. It puts out 160 horses and 184 lb-ft of torque, MUCH more twist than its Japanese sibling.
