Kia has announced that it will debut an all-new concept SUV at the 2016 Detroit Auto Show.

The new concept was conceived at the company’s California design studio and, according to the Korean automaker, will offer an abundance of advanced technology, including state-of-the-art health-and-wellness technology. The concept will also preview the future of Kia’s design language, and promises to take it in a bold new direction.

Based on the teaser image, it appears that Kia will present a premium, large SUV at the 2016 Detroit Auto Show and will likely gauge interest in such an offering for the market.

Kia’s current lineup of crossovers include the Soul, Sportage and Sorento at the top of the range. There’s a good chance the new concept will be a seven-seater SUV that would eventually replace the Sedona minivan as the minivan segment continues to lose appeal.
