The new hot version of the Mini Convertible has arrived.

The Mini John Cooper Works Convertible takes everything great from the hardtop model and adds the joy of open-air driving. Providing motivation is a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine making 228 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque, mated to either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. Jumping from 0 to 60 mph will take 6.4 seconds with the manual gearbox while the auto will do it just 0.1 second faster.

Dynamic damper control is available with the car while a sport suspension and chassis enhancements come standard. Larger Brembo brakes handle slowing this little pocket rocket down.

Sportier looks come courtesy of a body kit, standard 17-inch wheels and LED headlights. Inside, a black and red color scheme help to give the JCW some added style.

Springing for the John Cooper Works Convertible will set you back $36,450, while the base model convertible sells for $26,800.
