The wild-looking KTM X-Bow will hit the streets in the U.S. in 2017.
The small two seater has been adapted for North America and will arrive in both Canada and the U.S. in spring of 2017. The US-bound model is the base model X-Bow R, which makes 300 horsepower from a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine.
KTM will establish a small dealer network that consists mostly of race track owners and operators who are interested in buying a fleet of the cars. KTM is hoping move about 15 units in the U.S. in 2017, while the goal is 30 to 40 units per year in the future. KTM only built 80 X-Bows last year.

The X-Bow is currently available in US as a kit car, as it doesn’t pass crash safety regulations. For customers who want one, they have to purchase the body and engine separately to get around the regulations.
