Hyundai has introduced its second 2016 SEMA Show project.

Rockstar Performance Garage will help get a Hyundai Santa Fe crossover ready to go off-roading in Las Vegas this year, providing a sharp contrast from the 1,040-horsepower “Santa-Fast” that Bisimoto is conjuring up.

Sporting a 3.3-liter V6 engine under the hood, Rockstar’s Santa Fe packs plenty more performance thanks to an AEM cold air intake, Magnaflow exhaust and a nitrous-oxide injection system. Giving it plenty more ground clearance than stock is a pair of 2.0 KING coilovers up front and 2.5 KING shocks in the rear. On all four corners are 17-inch KMC XD 301 Turbine off-road bead-lock wheels paired to Mickey Thompson Baja Claw 35-inch off-road tires.

Other accessories that prepare the Santa Fe for its off-roading adventures include Odyssey batteries, a WARN winch, rock sliders and bumpers, Bulldog LED lighting and a custom roof rack.

Expect to hear more announcements from Hyundai for its other SEMA projects leading up to the event in early November.

“Rockstar conveys its endless brand energy in everything we do,” said Nick Ashby, lead developer of the Rockstar concept vehicle. “Our Rockstar Santa Fe Concept is simultaneously all-show and all-go, a non-compromising concept with tremendous capabilities and a confident demeanor to match.”
