The Mercedes-AMG GT C Roadster Edition 50 will be limited to just 500 units worldwide.
The German automaker is using three special models to celebrate its 50th anniversary, starting with the AMG GT C Roadster Edition 50. Of the 500 units heading around the world, only 50 will be coming to the U.S. On the exterior, the convertible sports car boasts a special paint finish in designo Graphite Grey Magno. Helping give it a unique look are black chrome accents applied to the side skirt trim, front splitter, trim strips in the air intakes of the grille, fins on the side air outlets in the front fenders, on the rear diffuser and tailpipe trim elements. Another nice touch is the surface of the AMG wheels complementing the black chrome elements found throughout the exterior.
Inside the cabin, the Edition 50 gets a contrasting black and silver color scheme. Upholstery in Silver Pearl and Black Exclusive Nappa Leather with Grey diamond-patterned contrast topstitching can be seen throughout, while the AMG Performance steering wheel is finished in DINAMICA microfiber with grey contrast topstitching, 12 o’clock mark in Silver Pearl, and “Edition 50” badging.
The model comes standard with the AMG Interior Night Package that includes steering wheel spokes, shift paddles and door sills finished in black. The head restraint of the seats are also embossed with “GT Edition 50.”
Under the hood remains a 4.0-liter biturbo V8 engine cranking 550 horsepower and 502 pound-feet of torque while mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

The body of the convertible is painted in designo Cashmere White Magno, further contrasted by Deep Ocean Blue accents such as the trim strips on the front and rear bumper, trim elements on the wheel’s center caps, contrasting topstitching throughout the Crystal Grey interior and on the analog IWC-designed clock.
Lastly, there’s the AMG Performance Studio Package added to the C43 Coupe and Cabriolet models. The package boasts numerous black details throughout the interior and the exterior and for the first time, the C43 Cabriolet is offered with black exterior details. Elements painted in black on the package include trim strips on the front splitter and on the rear bumper, side skirts, trunk lid spoiler and tailpipe accents.
All the special edition models will debut at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show.
