Rolls-Royce will host a special exhibition to welcome the next-generation Phantom.
At the end of July, the British automaker will gather up the greatest Rolls-Royce Phantoms from the last 92 years in Mayfair, London. The Rolls-Royce Exhibition will be called “The Great Eight Phantoms,” and leading up to the event, the company will announce which great Phantoms will make the journey to London from all around the world. The first story will chronicle the Fred Astaire Phantom I, seen above.
The Rolls-Royce Phantom was originally introduced in 1925, and since then, it has served as a symbol for the world’s most influential and powerful men and women.

Production of the seventh-generation Phantom stopped at the end of last year, and Rolls-Royce is getting ready to introduce the eighth-generation model in July. Spy photographers have caught the luxury sedan testing and it doesn’t appear it will depart much from the outgoing model. What will be a major change is the new all-aluminum platform it will ride on, making it much lighter than the model it replaces.
