Likely making its debut at the 2018 New York Auto Show, the Jaguar F-Pace SVR has been spied testing yet again.

Spy photographers and even an enthusiast on YouTube have caught the hardcore F-Pace SVR testing, rumored to be powered by a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine with 567 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. That will make Jaguar Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) division’s next project the most powerful SUV ever produced by Jaguar.

Despite still wearing heavy camouflage, we can see the SUV will get a different front fascia, boasting large air intakes so the powerful V8 engine can breathe freely. There are even some vents on the hood to keep the supercharged engine cool. We can also spy vents on the fenders, likely there to improve aerodynamics while cooling the brakes. In the rear, a diffuser will house a quad-tip exhaust setup.

Along with permanent four-wheel drive, the F-Pace SVR’s powerplant will be paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Along with the changes to the exterior and the more powerful engine, expect SVO to outfit the F-Pace SVR with larger brakes, stiffer suspension, and bigger wheels and tires.

The model will compete with other high-performance SUVs on the market, like BMW M variants and the Porsche Macan and Cayenne Turbo.
