When the 2019 Volvo XC40 is introduced, it will be the first Volvo in America available through Care by Volvo.
The subscription service will allow you to drive a Volvo for 24 months for $600 per month.
“Care by Volvo takes the guesswork out of car ownership, covering insurance, service, maintenance and basically everything except gas,” said Anders Gustafsson, CEO of Volvo Car USA.
A limited number of well-equipped XC40s will be available at launch for that price. With no down payment needed, the service is being advertised as “easy as having a cell phone.”
During your 24-month subscription, Volvo will take care of regular maintenance, wear and tear, and tire and wheel protection. The service allows you 15,000 miles per year.
If you should find 24-months to be an inconceivably long period of time—this is after all aimed at millennials—there is an option to sign up for another 24-month agreement in a different car after just 12 months.
