The Hellcat-powered Ram Rebel TRX Concept could become a production vehicle.
Unveiled at the 2016 State Fair of Texas, the Ram Rebel TRX Concept’s styling cues has found its way to the new 2019 Ram 1500, which recently bowed at the 2018 Detroit Auto Show. And now Ram might have just dropped a hint that a Hellcat-powered, Rebel-based truck wearing the new 1500 body could be in the works.
As Allpar points out, one of the photos of the Rebel’s interior shows 7:07 on the infotainment screen, which alludes to the 707 horsepower the Hellcat powerplant provides. The Rebel is the only model with a photo sporting 7:07 as the time.

Before you think this is pure coincidence, this wouldn’t be the first time Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) has put in clues in its press release photos. In 2014, shortly before the Challenger SRT Hellcat was introduced, the American automaker released teaser images that had the Sirius XM channel “70s on 7” on the display. We now know of course, that was intentional.
Considering FCA had no issues shoving the Hellcat engine into a Jeep Grand Cherokee, it would hardly be a surprise if a Hellcat-powered pickup was in the works for Ram. And if that’s the case, the Ford F-150 Raptor better watch out.
