The Sin R1 550 plug-in hybrid will make its public debut at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show.
The new hybrid variant features an electric motor up front, sending 120 horsepower to the wheels, allowing the Sin R1 550 plug-in hybrid to travel up to 37 miles (60 kilometers) on a single charge, at speeds up to 62 mph (100 km/h). Although the plug-in model starts its life as an R1 550, the powerplant actually comes from the R1 450 in the form of a 6.2-liter V8 also found in the Chevrolet Corvette. Combined, total system output is 570 hp, allowing the electric supercar to hit 62 mph (100 km/h) from a standstill in 3.5 seconds.
