Infiniti has previewed what will be a coupe SUV that will join the brand’s lineup in 2020. Called the QX55, it will be based on the already popular QX50 SUV and will take its design cues from the revered FX50. It will likely be powered by the same 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged engine with variable compression ratio as the QX50 but probably in a higher state of tune. It could feature AWD as standard as well.
Although the details of the car remain sketchy, it can be said with almost certainty that it will be a premium product. The cabin will likely feature sporty touches like bucket style seats, a flat-bottomed steering wheel, and other sporty touches like brushed aluminum elements. When launched in 2020, it will rival other sporty SUVs like the BMW X4 and the Mercedes-Benz GLC coupe.
