Mazda CX-30 – Review, Specs, Pricing, Features, Videos and More

2020 Mazda CX-30

The CX-30 aims to offer engaging Mazda driving dynamics in a compact SUV package.

Based on the CX-5, the CX-30 is a sportier sort of crossover, slotting between it and the CX-3. Prices start at $21,900 for the base version and go up to $29,600 for the top of the line Premium trim. The CX-30 sports an SUV-coupe styling and is available in four core variants. All variants are available with a choice of front- or all-wheel drive. The CX-30 is powered by the same 2.5-liter Skyactiv-G engine that also powers the CX-5. It makes 186 hp of power and 186 lb-ft of torque which is also similar to the CX-5. The engine is mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox.

Mazda does offer a good blend of convenience and safety features as standard but things like heated seats, blindspot detection and the 12-speaker Bose audio system are reserved for the top variants only. In addition, features like blind spot detection with cross-traffic warning, heads up display and cylinder deactivation are available with the top-of-the-line Premium trim only.

In its segment it rivals the Nissan Rogue SportMitsubishi Eclipse Cross, and the Subaru Crosstrek.
